I just got the 4G Black refurbished Zune yesterday. I LOVE it. I was really worried I would get ripped off buying it refurb. but it came in two days early. I opened the package and prepared myself for a scratched up Zune but to my relief it was a PERFECT Zune.
No Scratches
No dust stuck inside the screen.
No stickers.
Just plain awesomeness.
It had about 30 songs on it and a bunch of wallpapers and a few videos on it from I'm assuming the previous owner. But that's cool. I use it in my car and I had no problem adding it to my dad's Zune account. I can't wait to put more songs on it.
If your considering getting this, DO IT. You will more than likely not regret it. Its a great price and overall a great deal.
Great Portable player, but lacking some features. January 18, 2010

I think that this player is very good. It's portable, good sound quality, the home screen is neat, the zune touchpad is fun, easy to use, and pretty fancy. However, the zune marketplace where you load all your songs can be a major pain in the......... well you know what I mean. First of all, it has the nasty habit of randomly choosing songs not to load on your player. Secondly, it is also extremely nitpicky about videos, and doesn't like loading those either. I still prefer Windows Media Player, but when you install the Zune player, all the songs will only play on the Zune Marketplace. But, these issues are about the Zune Marketplace, not the Zune player itself. But, the Zune Player itself is also lacking some features, not major ones, but features to take note on. I think the next gen-zune ought to include: A microphone/recording device, an USB port, not the zune port, a Micro SD slot, and a slide for turning the power on/off only. You can push any button you want to turn it on, so if you accidentally bump the button, it'll turn on. So I propose that the next Zune has a slide on/off like a lot of players, reducing the chance of accidentally turning it on. I know most of these features are lacking because Microsoft wanted the player to be Uber-Portable, but I think that they could sacrifice a little bit of the portability to add these features and make the Zune a little bit nicer without making it too bulky. In conclusion, I think it is a VERY good player, Microsoft did well, they made it very portable, with good battery life, but, they should look into adding a few good features included on nearly all players. Also, they really need to work on the Zune Media player for the computer. It's hard to use, nitpicky, and seems to randomly remove songs from your MP3. But, thanks for the cool player, Microsoft!

This is our 3rd Zune, I have one, my wife, and now my son. We share a Zune pass and cannot imagine having to pay for every MP3 we want to listen to. I will be ordering a Zune HD shortly after they are out.

I bought this for my wife, whose computer did not get along with the ipod nano 4th gen. I wanted to love it. I wanted a drag and drop player, or at least one that would work with windows media player. It did neither.
It has its own proprietary software, and will not work without it. The deal breaker was when I finally had it loaded. I took it in the car to listen, and found there is no volume leveling. Some songs were blaring loud. Some songs could barely be heard. I knew at that point it had to go back, even at $69. I wanted an additional music library for her car, but no dice.
A few positives. The radio is stellar. Very clear, even displays song names. The wireless sync feature is stellar. I synced a floor away from my computer over an Att Uverse router. But in the end the absence of drag and drop and volume levelling killed this player. I wish I would have known, I wouldnt have bought it in the first place.
